Dr Richard Arnott trained at Melbourne University followed by years at several of Melbourne’s major hospitals as well as interstate. He completed a PhD in Thyroid physiology in Sydney before returning to Melbourne.
He worked as a senior endocrinologist at the Alfred Hospital and has helped train many of Melbourne’s younger endocrinologists. He has a deep commitment to diabetes and finding ways to help live with this condition as well as a particular interest in thyroid and pituitary disorders.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys bike riding, skiing and rowing.

Dr Livia Rivera-Woll completed her medical degree at Monash University. After completing her physician training at Monash Medical Centre, she gained experience in endocrine issues that affect women while at The Jean Hailes Centre. She subsequently completed her advanced training in endocrinology at Box Hill Hospital and The Alfred Hospital.
Livia has an interest in all aspects of endocrinology including type 1 and type 2 diabetes, insulin pumps, thyroid disease, thyroid cancer, diabetes and thyroid disease in pregnancy, osteoporosis, PCOS, menopause, adrenal, parathyroid and pituitary diseases.
She is multi-lingual and is happy to provide consultations in Spanish. Livia also consults in Mont Albert North on Thursdays and Fridays.

Fiona graduated from Monash University with honours, subsequently undertaking her training in both Endocrinology and General Medicine at the Alfred Hospital. In addition to private practice, she continues to work at Alfred Health and the Monash University Central Clinical School, where she is heavily involved in physician and medical student education.
Fiona welcomes referrals in all aspects of clinical endocrinology including Diabetes Mellitus, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and weight management.

Dr Naomi Szwarcbard initially graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Science (Physiology & Immunology), followed by a Doctor of Medicine. She undertook internship and basic physician training at The Alfred Hospital. Her specialist training in endocrinology was completed at The Alfred Hospital and Western Health, as well as a clinical research fellowship working with the Australian National Diabetes Audit through Monash University.
Naomi welcomes referrals in all areas of endocrinology, including all types of diabetes, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal and pituitary diseases, men’s and women’s hormonal issues, endocrine disorders in pregnancy, and osteoporosis. Naomi also consults privately at Cabrini Malvern, and at The Alfred Hospital.

Dr Sawyer initially graduated from Monash University’s Victorian College of Pharmacy with First Class Honours and worked as a pharmacist for a number of years. He went on to study post-graduate medicine at Deakin University and subsequently completed his specialist physician training at Monash Health, Eastern Health and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne.
Dr Sawyer’s research has been published in international and national journals and he has presented at numerous conferences.
He has broad clinical interests and welcomes referrals in all areas of endocrinology, including all types of diabetes, osteoporosis and bone health, weight management and metabolic risk, men’s and women’s hormonal issues, endocrine disorders in pregnancy, lipid disorders, thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal diseases.
